Re: Mojave pool

I called today. The key is out until Saturday afternoon. The lady said it should be back around 11:00 to 12:00 (closed on Friday) You gotta be there and it's first one to ask for it gets it.Sounds fun but 24 hours is pushing it a little I think. Not sure why they did this in the heat of summer? :rol...

N 34 49.887 W 119 12 .392 WGS 84 Would need to be checked out by the group but it has less people there than the Mt. Pinos area ever t...

Nice pics Doug.
We had planned a trip to Carrizo Plain that weekend or we would have done black canyon with you. Looks like the rock art is great out there.
I have wanted to check that area out for some time. Maybe next time we can tag along.

Re: Anza Borrego Flowers and more Flowers 03 25-26-27

The aluminum foil is a great idea and I’m going to try that. I’m pretty sure they would leave you alone once they saw that set-up. I don’t have the room for a washer tub in our FJ 40 but a roll of heavy duty foil is in our camping stuff anyway.
Thanks for the tip!

Great Pics gon2srf!
We took a ride in that same jeep a few weeks ago. :)
FYI,
If you primitive camped inside of park boundaries “Their” :? rules require a metal container for the fire and removal of all ashes.
They will give you a ticket if a ranger happens to come by.

Red Cyn. trail / Salt Creek / Bradshaw trail

Jill, Virginia and myself spent two nights out in the Red Canyon / Salt Creek area and had a blast hiking and some easy off roading up some side washes. We took our stock Dodge Dakota and FJ40 since we did not want to go out there with one vehicle. We started on the Red Canyon Trail from interstate ...
