Anza Borrego Pinyon Mountain Squeeze Question

A group of us are planning on doing the Pinyon Mountain trip in the near future and the question came up if there is a by pass for the squeeze or is it the only way through. The map does not show much and I'm guessing there is not but I know someone here has the answer.

So thanks in advance. :D

Re: Ham Radio Test Session at Bass Pro Shop

One method of studying for the tests is to skim a couple of ham license books and then take practice tests until you get a score consistently over 85 or 90%. Then you're ready for the test. This worked well for me. Here are a couple of web sites I found with practice texts: http://aa9pw.com/radio/ h...

Welcome or Welcome Back!
If you haven’t already, take some time to look around the forum. There is a wealth of knowledge, everything from Ham equipment, camping equipment, and off road equipment just to name a subset of topics.
Looking forward to seeing you at AB in the future.

Well I did it and it was this groups fault!

I passed the Technician test last night and it was this groups fault. Not really though but you all were an influence, I've wanted to get a license for a long time, in a past career I installed and serviced electronics including ham radios on yachts. Most were installed to non-hams. The owners premi...

Re: Yaesu FT-8800R Install

Great install! I'm starting to gather information on radios and installations and I like the cleanliness of yours. How did you run the antenna wires? Did you drill a hole in the roof or did you feed it through or around the door sill? It's hard to see in the picture. Thanks in advance for the inform...

Re: Steering Stabilizer

If you have not checked out motor home and marine suppliers you may try them. They all run duel batteries and are capable of monitoring both batteries. I’d guess that some even have built in alarms. The only potential problem would be form factor, are they two big this use. Just my thoughts.

Re: 2009 BorregoFest Suggestions

Thanks Cynrat for elaborating on my suggestion. I think it is a great goal to have everyone that shows up at our events to have a Ham license but in reality not everyone will. The way you accommodated me is a tribute to the great people at OAUSA. Since this was my first event, I want to thank all th...
