Re: Wavian Jerry Cans

JerryCan.com has a deal on Wavian Jerry Cans. The first can is 10% off, the second and subsequent are 20% off. Two cans cost me $135.34 including shipping and tax. I have never dealt with this company before, but they ship from California, so at least the shipping "should" be reasonably fast. https...

Re: GENERAL PLANNING

Since it had been a month since I ordered four jerry cans from Deutsche Optik, I gave them a call today. They said that the cans are being transported to the U.S., and should be shipped out within two weeks. That's less than three weeks from our planned departure, so I'm going to keep a close eye o...

Re: OAUSA Net – April 05, 2108 – Camp Coffee

My choice for brewing coffee while camping is the JetBoil system with the French Press Accessory. The JetBoil makes about 2 cups of coffee which is all I usually drink. Since I'm not a connoisseur of coffee, I usually choose a brand of coffee with the largest grind I can find that is on sale. Smalle...

MAPS

I'm ready to start sending out maps and GPX files of the area. Initially, I need to know if there is anyone whose navigation is capable of using files created in Nat Geo Topo.
Dave,

GPX files work better for me.

Re: Fuel (Jerry) Cans

I ordered four jerry cans from Deutsche Optik (per Dave's suggestion), which seems to have a decent price on what is apparently a sturdy, standard NATO can at four for $156 ($39 each). The Wavian jerry cans seem to be going for around $80 each. https://deutscheoptik.com/20-liter-jerry-can-set-of-fo...
