Re: Eastern Sierras/Inyo Mountains

... On the trip note... (I hate to take this thread off topic again but...) The only "Formal" runs that we require paperwork on are those that are in the OAUSA Event Planning Section. The runs in the "Trip Planning" section within the Outdoor Adventuring Section are all "informal" with no paperwork...

Re: Eastern Sierras/Inyo Mountains

The pics are awesome - I wish I was there, and I will be looking forward to joining you on future runs you organize - with or without paperwork. Now you've got me hooked - where were you and Jon thinking of setting up a trip to ? It is a shame the world the way it is...I think we can both...

Re: Eastern Sierras/Inyo Mountains

Larry...hence my comment about personal responsibility . Too many lawyers and people suing each other. Why in the heck would I sue OA for something that happens on a trail? That doesn't make sense. I mean heck why is it "their" fault. The only way I could see that happening is if an owner of the boa...

Re: Eastern Sierras/Inyo Mountains

I shoot with two cameras. Both Nikon D80s. One I exclusively use for color. My second camera is setup for BWIR. I do use a polarizer off and on...depends on the situation. Randy...it is an easy get away from LA. I wouldn't mind leading a trail run for a weekend with a small group of trucks 10-12 som...

Re: Eastern Sierras/Inyo Mountains

Last set of photos... My photoset wouldn't be complete w/o some panos ... so I did take a few on Sunday. ====== Looks like the Panos get chopped on this forum  You can go to over to T120 if you want to see them http://www.toyota120.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20901 ====== Badger Flat http://t4r...

Re: Eastern Sierras/Inyo Mountains

Instead of camping in the Pinons we went back to where Jon had explored. Turns out it was a really great spot. Not too windy either. The only rain in the weather report was Sunday night and by then we should have been heading home. Of course it never seems to fail when I plan a trip...a sudden storm...

Re: Eastern Sierras/Inyo Mountains

We made it to Badger Flat. I tried to get there in Feb but the snow was way too deep. We were close too! Anyway this time we made it and Jon went off exploring a small side trail that turned out to lead to a nice camp site. I spy Jon! http://t4r.shulyphotography.com/inyo-may11/DSC_0693.jpg Another v...

Eastern Sierras/Inyo Mountains

I posted this over on T120 but figured I'd share this with the OAUSA folks. This trip might be a good 'unofficial' run to do sometime with a smaller group 10-12 rigs with a 2:1 ratio of 4wd to 2wd. Anyway...here is the report from our trip in May. ===================================== We took a trip...
