Re: 2012 BorregoFest Potluck Planning

I'll note that I have a camp BBQ and 2 burner camp stove, but I am not sure what I am cooking yet.....still trying to figure out something I can make in a large quantity relatively quickly. It seems we could use another main dish right?

Re: Julian/Cuyamaca Mine Run/hike - Saturday 10/20/12

Any idea how difficult the moderate sections are? I'll only have 32's and open diffs. If not too bad(no worse than the calcite mine rd from this last weekend I think I would rather do this run to see something new. If anything I wouldn't mind riding with someone else.

Is the meeting and departure time probably going to be the times listed? I might be just getting to camp around noon.

Re: 2012-09-15: Borrego Badlands Prerun

need a little more details on the "oops" That was on the way up to Calcite Mine. dlichterman slid sideways a bit and tagged the side of his truck. That trail is rougher than I remember. That's pretty much it. It was the section with a huge hole, and my wheels must have slipped. My tires are old and...

Re: California, Travel, and Guns

Yes and no. While traveling through school zones you are supposed to keep long guns locked up. However, if you are out of state I have a feeling it isn't too big of a deal. It seems like just another thing to tack on if you are pulled over or something. I live near a school so I just keep everything...
