Re: First OAUSA Trip

DTO: I've done the Burro Schmidt Tunnel (what was he thinking?), and done some runs in that area including Last Chance Canyon and some others. I've also explored an area near there in the Scodie Mountains, which is part of the Sequoia National Forest. Great camping and the road there is, as I recall...

I have the HF/VHF one and I could kick myself for not getting the one with UHF. Oh well!

Re: SHOOTING RANGE LOCATIONS AND EVALUATIONS

Recently the San Gabriel Valley gun Club closed its range in Monrovia. For my money, it was the best around. It seems to me that there is another range, albeit slightly smaller, in that area. Does anyone have any info on it?

Tom:

Are you willing and able to personally offer a first aid course? If so when can we do it?

If not, do you know when any of these courses are being offered?

Power Steering Fluid

I keep close watch on the fluids and lubricants for the H2. With the exception of transmission fluid exchanges, I change all the fluids and perform all of the lubrication required for my vehicle. I was reading an article recently about vehicle maintenance which discussed an item to which I had never...

"no need to kill the snake"

Tom, Tom, Tom. Allow me to suggest some "Needs":

1. hatband
2. belt
3. shoes
4. wallet
5. target practice.

But seriously. Is snake anti venom, a hospital use only thing. Is it available to carry on the trail? Is it wise to carry it, even if you could get it?

Re: Survival Check List

Good list Tom. There are a couple of add-ons that I wouldn't leave home without. 1. duct tape (in camo, if hunting) 2. water purifier, chlorine tablets 3. wood saw (w/ retractable blade) 4. leather gloves. As far as prioritizing the list, it seems that would only be necessary if back packing. All of...
