Re: Yaesu FT-8800R Install

Great install! I'm starting to gather information on radios and installations and I like the cleanliness of yours. How did you run the antenna wires? Did you drill a hole in the roof or did you feed it through or around the door sill? It's hard to see in the picture. Thanks in advance for the inform...

Re: Steering Stabilizer

If you have not checked out motor home and marine suppliers you may try them. They all run duel batteries and are capable of monitoring both batteries. I’d guess that some even have built in alarms. The only potential problem would be form factor, are they two big this use. Just my thoughts.

Re: 2009 BorregoFest Suggestions

Maybe an informal get together Friday night would be a good idea. This way new people would have a chance to me some of the people and connect up with the people on on their Saturday runs. It would also be nice to have a place where run changes are posted, time changes, meeting location changes, etc...

Re: Fire Extinguisher

Thanks for the info. I've never read or heard about extinguishers exploding given the fact that there are a lot of people with them in their vehicles. I have seen the aftermath of things exploding in cars thought. My next door neighbor showed me the shredded hole in his back seat where a pressurized...

Re: Fire Extinguisher

I've also been looking at extinguishers but I've had some people I work with have different items explode, not extinguishers but other pressurized items, and was wondering if this was a possible problem with them especially it a car that has been sitting in 100 + degree temperatures.
