Re: Outdoor adventure plans for 2011?

I would love to make it out to Death Valley and Panamint Mountains this year, since I've never been, as well as explore more of the Mojave Preserve. I'll be spending a few days around Corral Canyon and Jacumba this month and will hopefully get some more hiking trips in. However, with a child along ...

Re: Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument 2011

An exact itinerary has not been set at this point but it will be about 12-14 days in length and will take place somewhere at the end of April and beginning of May. To the extent possible, we will keep the dates a wee bit flexible so as to avoid particularly bad weather. I will be posting an itinera...

What do you think?
That's a great idea.

Re: California Desert Protection Act

Spreading the word in case you haven't been keeping up... This bill has far reaching implications in protecting the areas we love and use on a regular basis. Take a little time to do a bit of research send in some support. I've spent some time reading the complete 2010 California Desert Protection ...

Re: So I was pulled over last night...

I don't think you will get anywhere arguing with the police. IMHO, it's best not to talk. At least keep the talking to a minimum. I've had my share of encounters with law enforcement, especially as a long haired (when I had hair) 16 year old with a muscle car. Stay calm, keep your hands where an off...
