I was planning on running this trail on my way out on Sunday. It's a black Diamond trail but it's only 3.2 miles long. The direction I intend to run it is east to west, which is the downhill direction. When we are finished we come out on the 18 near Arrowhead Lake. If we leave camp on time at 10:00 we would be done by 1:00pm, or a little after.
This is a hard trail. You must have 33's and at least one locker to run with me on this trail. PM me for exceptions to this.
Rock rails and skid plates are optional but strongly recommended.
There is a waterfall obstical in the rock garden portion of this trail. I personally think it's the hardest obsticle in Big Bear right now. Harder than anything on John Bull. I had to winch myself through it last time I ran it. I picked a bad line and got my diff hung up.
Here is a screen shot of the route. This is the entire route from camp to Arrowhead lake, it's just shy of 15 miles long. The actual trail is in the middle (shown in yellow). The rest of the route is easy.
