My introduction
Hi folks. Werner Vavken here from Temecula, Ca. We moved down here in June of 2017 and I retired in August of 2018 after a 30+ year career in Telecommunications R&D field, 15 years in STEM education and 2 years in full time ministry. My hobbies include fine woodworking, travel, ham radio, gourmet cooking, digital photography and videography, film-making and golf. Some day soon we hope to spend more time exploring the great outdoors in the SoCal area!

Hey Werner
Welcome to Outdoor Adventure USA!!!
We have the solution to your goal of spending more time in the great outdoors. The ARRL Field Day is coming up soon and we will be doing a three day camping weekend in the mountains of the Los Padres National Forest to participate. We will be posting information about the event soon. Give it some thought!

Hello Werner and Sherri
I just saw that you logged on. I mentioned to you that we hold our BorregoFest in October. Please plan to attend. You are closer than any of us to the campground.
I know you both will have a great time as Verena and I do. Great food, wine and a variety of discussions. Great operating from the Ham Shack that is on site. Please look at last years post to get a better idea what to expect.

See you both soon
