Re: 2010 BorregoFest Truckhaven Run Report
We had 5 vehicles for the run. The weather was great. The only mud was in the bottoms. All the hills had great traction. The recent rains created some very tight slots but everyone squeezed through with no damage and no scratches. We had to dodge a horde of Unimogs all day. Palm wash was quite busy. Once we made it to Graves wash it was much more quite. The run left the camp ground right at 8:30 am and we returned at 4pm - just in time to drink wine and prepare for the pot luck. In my opinion, Truck Haven is the finest wheeling, we have in Southern California! - technical without the rocks.
See you on the Trail!

Re: 2010 BorregoFest Truckhaven Run Report
Well, not much damage anyways...

I knew it was damaged after the second hit when I threw the rear fog/reverse lamp in the truck, but I figured it would last the rest of the trip. Got back to camp to find only 2 screws left holding the cover/lights/sensors in place. Oh well, nothing I wasn't already planning to remove and replace with steel.
Highlights from the run:

We were wondering what could be that bad on the other side of that little mound where Tom is out of the truck looking. When we crested it ourselves we were greeted by this:

They'll give just about anyone a license to drive these days...

Thanks Tom for leading an excellent trip, and everyone else for letting me sit in the back and take pictures (my other favorite pastime).

Truckhaven is an amazing place. I agree with Tom on his assessment of Truckhaven. If not for mom being here, I would have doen this run again this year. It never fails to impress. Looks like a lot of fun was had.

Except for a few tight spots, I'd love to go on this run sometime. Are there any work arounds for us with fuller figured rigs?smslavin wrote: I need to make that Truckhaven run. Looks like a blast.

Here are some additional pictures from our run.
Tom, thanks for the Truck Haven tour. After spending the day with Tom it is obvious that he loves what he does....offroading!
This is the climb and now decent from the Phone Booth.
What tight spots?
I want to thank the OAUSA Board for sponsoring this and all the other events.
