Route Description:
Fun & easy, winding scenic route from just outside Stagecoach Trails Group Campsite heading eastward on Pinyon Mountain Road towards the Pinyon Mountains and infamous "Squeeze". There are just a couple of rocky areas and a section of narrow culvert but both are easy to navigate. Two wheel drive is acceptable with high clearance.

Trail Description:
The hiking trail begins with a moderate to strenuous 250' to 300' elevation gain then immediately flattens to a moderate hike for rest of the route. It is recommended that you bring 1 to 2 liters of water, light snacks/lunch, hat & sunscreen. We will break for lunch at the summit which has wonderful panoramic views of Salton Sea and the surrounding area. The trail is well marked however if you plan to divert or leave the group for any reason a GPS and Topo Map of the area is highly recommended.

* Participants should be in good physical condition and be capable of carrying a day pack over a moderate grade for a round trip total of 4 to 6 miles.

It should be fun and this way we won't feel so guilty about our filet mignon's, apple cobbler and Hagen Daaz ice cream!

Got you down Dan. It will be a small group so we should move quick on the hike and have lots of spare time for photos and such.

So am I to conclude that "towards the squeeze" isn't the same as "through the squeeze"?

Count me in.

Exactly. We can visit if anyone has not been before, it's just a mile or so from the trail head. Glad you're coming along Steve, are the Dober's down too?

The Dobers probably won't be down. Adventurous dogs+Cholla=no fun for all paties involved :(
