BPS Test Session and Meet & Greet General Info

#1

Post by OLLIE » Mon Jan 24, 2011 10:56 pm

The next OAUSA ham radio test session and meet and greet is scheduled for March 19th at the Bass Pro Shop in Rancho Cucamonga. Please come join us for a great time talking about our favorite hobbies in the great outdoors. While you are at it, you can take the opportunity to test for your amateur radio license or try for that upgrade you've been wanting to get. For those that haven't been to the Bass Pro Shop it is also your opportunity to check it out. It is an amazing place to see. You might want to leave your wallets at home though. We will have a display of various outdoor adventure vehicles/equipment and amateur radio gear. Bring your families too. This is a great venue for us to meet the family members we never get to see on the trail. Post any questions you may have here or send a PM to DaveK, hmfigueroa, cruiserlarry, or myself. We look forward to seeing you there.

JJ,

Clean up that trailer and bring it too. I'd like to get a selection of different trailers there. :D

I was thinking about doing that... I might put my basic camping stuff in it to show how I pack it.

Any plans for a trail run/camp afterward?

We *might* make it... that's a long drive though.

If people are up to it, Carvacre is near by and you could possibly camp at Silverwood Lake Campgound. The event usually runs pretty late though. Larry and I were stuck there until nearly 6:00 pm the last time. People were still stopping by to talk to us.

That would be perfect JJ. I haven't even seen your trailer loaded out for a trip yet.

Near by compared to some places I suppose, but a little to far for me. I think you mean Cleghorn
