I do not know if I can make the event or just stop in to look at radios and stuff, but I will be in Big Bear anyway that weekend so it all depends , might not want to drive down The Hill to go back up The Hill . . . I can be a “tentative.” I am almost always on K6BB when up there so, you can yell out if you need anything as well.

Does “other” mean I do not have to pay $55.00?

We’ll be in Big Bear this weekend as well, leading an easy run of sorts . . . weeee.

Yes... "Other" means you don't have to pay to join in. You are still even welcome to join us for the potluck and the runs. You just can't camp at "headquarters" (Coon Creek Cabin Group site) We just ask that you bring something to contribute to the potluck if you do attend the potluck.

Cool deal. I have done all the Big Bear trails so I won’t miss anything if I do not do the Gold/Onyx Summit trip. I have to do some chores up there in Big Bear, so I might head down after . . . and then if anyone wants to go do something, do that but I have to see how the day goes.

But, what I would like to see are the radios in the field. Though I have my General, I have never done HF and have no gear for it. I have plans for doing some things, mostly QRP, but it is just one of those things I have not gotten done. So that is my real interest, portable HF or QRP . . . but on the cheap.
