The Extra exam is tough. If you are not already familiar with the intricacies of radio circuits, signal propagation, and the specifics of the amateurs bands, as well as other technical topics, it's hard to just fly through the extra exam. It probably takes most folks about 1-2 weeks of reasonable studying to be successful, and a lot of memorization for those not technically savvy. However, with the resources available on line as well as in publications, studying almost anywhere, anytime, is possible.SteeevO wrote:yeah... i should study closer to the exam time.. not 6 months ago without a recap..
I'm sure you'll rip right through your next attempt, especially now that you know what to expect. Heck, if I can pass it, anyone can

Yeah, there were a couple of you that got roped in. No harm, no foul. You'll both be better prepared than most the next time you take it.SteeevO wrote:I was passing it time and time again 6 months ago in the practice tests. but i really wasn't planning on attempting it this weekend.. but i got roped in.. haha.
