Hello OAUSA here is an announcement regarding opportunities to learn about ARDF.
South Orange Amateur Radio Association is sponsoring an informal beginners' on-foot transmitter hunt this Saturday, April 20 at the Mission Viejo Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way in Mission Viejo. There will not be an antenna-building session, but several club members are expected to bring their just-completed antennas for testing and training. There will be some nearby transmitters for that purpose, plus a short five-transmitter ARDF course on 146.565 MHz.

This session gets under way about 9 AM. Because of Easter season activities in this park, it's uncertain where we can set up, so look for organizer Erik Wresch W6INE.

Then on May 4 will be the annual Antennas In The Park session at Hillcrest Park in Fullerton. There will be a beginner-to-intermediate ARDF course plus a barbecue lunch. More details will be posted soon.

Finally, mark your calendar for May 18, when the San Diego Transmitter Hunters will have an on-foot ARDF session at Guajome Regional Park in Oceanside. More details will follow.
