It was great meeting those that showed up. It was awesome to see the rigs y'all have built up. They gave me some ideas that I know will cost me some bucks in the future.

Craig:

We're very glad that you could join us. Next year, we will work on some joint efforts for a M&G.

P.S. A second job will take care of some of the extra costs of your mods!!!

I'm sorry I missed you guys. It would have been great seeing everyone again but we were camped out in the desert over the weekend. Hopefully we can get together for a day run or something soon!

Thanks to everyone who attended this years spring Meet & Greet.

I was a bit nervous, when I arrived to cloudy skies and cold weather, that we might have a repeat of last year's horrible weather. Fortunately, by about 11am, the sun started peaking through, and it was warming up. It turned out to be a fantastic day, with the sun finally making its way out to warm us all up.

It looked like the amateur radio testing was successful, including our own Steevo earning his Extra ticket, and one of my co-workers, Brandon, earning his Tech license. Overall I think we issued 5 or 6 new licenses, so congrats to all who tried and succeeded !!!

Due to an unforeseen family commitment, I had to leave about 2pm, but as always, I had a great time hanging out with old friends, and meeting new ones.

have any of the other people that upgraded or that are newly licensed gotten their call sign yet?
I thought it would have been pushed through by now ? :/
I called the FCC to see how backed up they are and they said their system is now all computerized and as soon as the VEC does a batch upload to their system, it's all active immediately.
Is there truth to this?

Thanks!
I'm gett'n a little antsy for that new 2x2 call & Tara is itch'n to get her call too!
