Hey Cris

Glad you can join the group.

Local camping spots, eh? How bout Laguna Mountain. But, I think it was in or near the path of some recent fires, so better check it out first. John is the best source of local camping spots and maybe he can make a suggestion.

Define "local" and what you want to do. Obviously the desert is a bit warm right now, but there is a spot above Borrego Springs that shouldn't be too bad.

Oh, and I think I'll swing by sometime in the afternoon.

Thanks, Dave!

Cris, is there any particular type of campground you had in mind? Primitive areas are gonna be warm out right now. Your best best is probably up in our local mountains, either in the Lagunas or Ranch Cuyamaca State Park.

One of my favorites is Boulder Oaks. Click here: http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/clevelan ... 2&actid=29

I was just looking for somewhere to not have to drive home Sat night, nothing really fancy. I got some good info from Dlichterman, and have a great offer from taugust. Now I just have to make a decision.

I'm looking forward to the event. Haven't been able to hang out with you all in a long time. And maybe this time my alternator will hold together. :D

If it takes an alternator to be able to hang out for the day, I'm good with that ;)

See you on Saturday

Unfortunately, I will have to miss the Meet and Greet this year. I will be attending a funeral. See you all at Borrego Fest if not sooner.
