Here is where we'll plan our annual Borrego Fest event, including Amateur Radio testing, wheeling, camping, and gourmet eating in the desert.

I so wanted to go on this run. :( It was great fun last year and super interesting to me as I love exploring old ruins and relics.

But alas, I'm moving to my newly acquired house and can't afford the down time. Got a couple of guys doing some remodeling on the weekends and need to be there to help out.

Even had to forego my usual 2-weeks in Colorado this time of the year :(

Hope everyone enjoys the Fest! Don't drink too much at the Sat potluck dinner

One of the mines requires that we walk through 5-10 inch deep water, if you want to see the full mine. Do we have any takers?

Highly recommended!! My girlfriend & I did thus run at BF last year & thoroughly enjoyed it.

Two recommendations for those going:
- closed toe shoes for the short rope section pictured in the first two pics in the original post
- there is also some poison oak on the short hike to the rope section (my girlfriend must have lightly brushed some & had a very mild rash from it last year), so be on the lookout for it and/or wear long pants & possibly long shirt, at least just for that short section

We had a great weekend. For those who would like to post comments, suggestions, run and event reports and pictures, we've opened up a new location where everyone can offer their input: viewtopic.php?f=193&t=3791&start=0 . Thanks to everybody for making this a terrific event!!!
