Honestly, I don't feel Outdoor or Adventure should be in the motto - it sounds redundant...but there are no other choices

Is this list final, or will we see other possibilities ?

I never gave much thought to the redundancy issue since I thought the logo/stickers/shirts etc. might end up being and abbreviation with the motto included. Post up some ideas Larry. You're the king of quips, a simple motto should be right up your alley.

Only 18 out of 138 members have voted in the "motto poll". Why is that?

Well... we had some GREAT suggestions submitted and the board has passed it through its filters. However, we don't think we've found a motto yet that suits Outdoor Adventure USA. We believe it will be a good idea to sit on this for a while and see where the next few months takes us. In the next couple of months, someone will say something witty and off-hand and we will KNOW that is it.

So for now, we are going to leave the motto as is until we get slapped with the one that is without a doubt the OAUSA motto.

Good idea. That will render something that's more evocative of the group/site.

I say we get to the point where we have a vote and geet 'er done. It was said earlier in the discussion it's one of those things we can spend a lot of time on and get nowhere. I think we'll grow into whatever we chose. Just my thought.
