Re: 2018 Field Day Equipment & Participation Sign-Up
We know some of you have some nice HF Radio setups and we encourage you to come and Run your stations. We will provide you any information and advice to help you be an effective Field Day Communicator.
Each year we have people come out with a desire to learn, and this year we would like to help you learn to use your own gear. Don't worry if you aren't comfortable running your gear as I have enough gear to set up several stations. and logging
Post up what you want to bring and we can make sure you have everything necessary for a good time on the air.
We have been using N3FJP's Field Day Logger with great success over the last few years. The software provides realtime status as to what is going on. It is a great benefit in knowing who you are working , who you have worked, and using the group to make sure your logging is correct. Here is a great video that demonstrates how easy it is to log with a computer running field day logger. It makes a great way to submit our log to ARRL at the end of the event.

Hector
In addition to the stuff I posted above, I will be bringing a long (er) range router so we can connect to the guys who operate outside the main Ham Shack.
We also need to make sure that all those who will be bring computers (for logging) have the most current software already loaded.

CQ, CQ, CQ DE KK6CTT:
I will bring my FT-817 and a 10m dipole. We'll see what kind of trouble I can get in with minimalist equipment along with enough wire to build other antenna configurations. Hoping to do some experimenting that I have not really done a lot of over the several years I have owned the radio. Looking forward to FD 2018.
