General Info and Sign-up - 2019 Borrego Fest

Welcome everyone!!!

It's time once again to start planning our annual Outdoor Adventure USA Borrego Fest event. The dates are set for October 4th through October 6th, (Friday, Saturday and Sunday.) for three days of camping. This is a family event that never fails to impress. Some of the activities we will offer are off-road trail runs, ham radio testing, a spectacular Saturday night Dutch Oven cook-off, wine tastings, great appetizers, coffee tastings, Ham radio demonstrations, and more. Please let us know if you plan on attending. Fees and sign up info below.

OAUSA depends on the donations from this event, and Summer Fest, to help it stay in operation. Campsite fees, taxes, and website expenses all add up, and OAUSA is comprised of a completely volunteer, unpaid staff. We have done our best to keep the fees reasonable, and ask that all who can, please join us for Borrego Fest 2019.

******************PLEASE NOTE*********************

There are some important changes we have made over last year, and everyone needs to be aware of what has happened.

We do our best to keep the cost of all of our events within reason. Last year we moved the event to Stage Coach Trails Campground, and figured that it would be a great place to regularly hold our Fall event of Borrego Fest (BF.) Since the 2018 BF worked out so well, we planned to re-up this year - that is until we discovered that they had doubled the price over last year. Stagecoach was a good location, but not that good at double the price. So, we have selected a new one and it offers many of the same benefits of Stagecoach as well as some very nice new ones, which we will discuss elsewhere.

The new location is still being finalized and we will announce it as soon as possible. Check back for updates.

No fee is required if you are only coming out for one day or are making other accommodations elsewhere. You are still allowed to participate in the trail run meetings, trail runs, special presentations, and evening festivities each day.

Fees are the same whether you stay for one night or two at the campground. The best and quickest way to pay for the weekend is through the "Donate" button located at the bottom of each page in the Forums. Please post your interest in attending in the format you see below and your name will be added to the roster. "CONFIRMED" will be entered next to your name once your donation has been received.

  • $80.00 -for a “drop-in” (Showing up without notice.)

Payments will be taken via the “Donate” button at the bottom of any page on the OAUSA website. Once payment has been received, “CONFIRMED” will be posted next to your name on the “Sign Up Roster”. Fees are refundable up to 14 days prior to the event.
