The Moon & Venus

#1

Post by ssc » Sun Nov 27, 2011 11:26 pm

I was in Havasu this weekend and there was a planet hanging with the moon in the evening sky. My research indicates that this was Venus. I took a few pictures. I hope that my research is correct and it was Venus. What do you think?

Cheers, Steve

That was definitely Venus, as confirmed by my iPhone app (Star Chart). The Moon and Venus looked just as awesome surrounded by the craggy peaks of KOFA in Arizona this past weekend but my little point-and-shoot just couldn't capture the beauty :(
Time to stop talking about it and just go do it!

Have any pictures from your trip there? I'm planning a trip out to Kofa NWR next month.
