Visiting the Desert is always enjoyable, but the spring time certainly is one of the very best. It has been about a month (or maybe a little longer) since the last rain or snow storm hit this area, but it's effects were clearly visible on this trip. The area is located at about 5,500 feet elevation with the predominant vegetation consisting of pinyon pine and juniper. Cactus and sage are also evident just about everywhere.
Desert flowers were very localized, but in full bloom. In the hills, there are still small streams that were flowing. GREAT time to visit and camp!!!

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear really bright, until they start talking
