REDLINE SYNTHETIC 0W-20 OIL now in stock !!!

Anyone who has checked to change their oil in newer Toyota trucks, cars, and many other brands may have noticed they now call for 0W-20 engine oil. This is a new, thinner weight designation to help improve oil flow through tighter engine passages, and to help boost corporate fuel mileage. However, hotter climates like CA might make some a little nervous using such a thin oil viscosity...

Redline Synthetic lubricants are the finest available - they are 100% synthetic, and are used by race teams and hard-core driving enthusiasts around the globe. Now, Redline has just released it's own 0W-20 engine oil for the newer vehicles, giving you the extra protection of the finest synthetics while maintaining the fuel efficiency and warranty requirements of your vehicle.

REDLINE 0W-20 ENGINE OIL IS IN STOCK AT DIRTY PARTS !!!

I'm not sure, honestly, but I don't think it would offer much benefit, fuel efficiency-wise, over the 5W-30 that is called for on the 07-09 FJs. The 2010 FJ (and many newer vehicles) are being engineered to run the thinner oils for better mileage, and can safely deal with the lighter viscosity. I hesitate t orecommend an oil thinner the what is called for, especially for folks like us who tend push our vehicles, both performance and weight-wise, in extreme high temperature environments.

Basically, I'm sticking with Redline 5W-30 in mine...

Do they make a 15W40, or better yet 15W60?

Actually, 0W has the equivalent viscosity of water...

Redline makes 15W40, and 15W50, but no 15W60...

Now we're talkin! I'll have to get a couple gallons from you at Borregofest to try out for the next oil change.

The thick stuff is hard to find out here. The best I've been able to do is 15W40 Rotella T truck oil, which all the truck stops carry. Fortunately, the Disco is happy with it... but I've heard it'll be even happier the closer I get to 15W60.
