The plaque is located atN32 47.147 W116 08.683. Googling turns up that he was 39 when he passed away, just curious if anyone knows any more about what happened?

I believe StevesKJ here used to work with him. Its been awhile since I've been through there but it looked like some punks had tried to remove or deface that plaque. Is your photo recent?

Just one I found via google image search, I'll check on it next time I'm in that area. Looks like StevesKJ provided a bit more info in this thread, thank you.
