On that note, I ordered a set of these: http://www.majorsurplus.com/Black-Diamo ... C2049.aspxDaveK wrote:The hike to this mine will be through some very slushy muddy areas and low top shoes will fill up quickly if you are not very, very careful.

I am presently signed up for the painted gorge run, but if there is an opening on this run we'd love to switch. We love seeking out gold mines, and we haven't seen these before. Please let us know if a slot becomes available. We are staying outside the camp so we don't show as being paid. We were told the was no charge for us, and that we could go on the runs. We have confirmed reservations at a hotel in town and will attend for certain.
Thanks
Thanks

It's doubtful a spot will open up. Best to have plan B lined up.FJsRkool wrote:I am presently signed up for the painted gorge run, but if there is an opening on this run we'd love to switch. Re: 2009-10-24: BorregoFest (Julian Mine Tour)
Open up my postion on this run.
I'm having to back out from Borregofest completely and I'm bummed beyond belief. Had a heart attack last week and had two stents put into my heart Friday afternoon. I feel great and would love to go, but one week after this procedure is just too early to be that far away from a major hospital.
I really was looking forward to these mine tours too! Maybe another time...in this life thankfully!!!
