My other Jeep project aka tinkertoy

Been messing with this thing since the end of May and it's finally taking shape

Picked up a new set of springs for my toy, so now it sits where I want it to. Looks like it will flex close to 4 feet, at 3 feet with one rear bumpstop touching there is travel left on all 3 corners. The cherry picker could go higher since it hit the garage door. As it sits it has about 350 pounds of weight behind the seats, that should pretty much copy a full tank of gas, gear and an as of yet to be built rear bumper.
For reference I am 6'4" tall

Been slaving away at this thing to get it ready before Hammer season is over

Finished welding up all of the suspension, installed the flat belly skid, stuck the gas tank in the back.
Filled the Atlas, made a bracket to hang this thing on the engine

Started building an exhaust for it, the stock front pipe and precat interfered with the upper control arm mount so reworked the exhaust a bit and that is solved.

Then hooked up the fuel lines, reworked the powersteering lines so they reachedthe steering gear and fired the little beast up, good to hear it run after 6 months.
Oh yeah somewhere in there the wheelbase went from 94" to 111" and the stock belly height of something like 13" went up to 24"
Makes it easy to work under it and I guess good shade on a hot day in the desert lol
Now it needs the driveshafts, which should be here by the end of the week, a cage, going to start that this weekend, install the cutting brakes and finish all the brake lines.
Then after a break and a deep breath, I will tackle the steering assist ram and drill and tap the steering gear for the assist ram.
Also needs some of the floor welded back in that I cut to fit the Atlas flat, but then that might wait till after I run a few trails with it

Worked some more on the rollcage today, what can I say it sports a Halo now, was a biatch to make, but looks pretty cool another stick of tube and I might just be really happy with that part.

Secured the fuel tank and did some driveway posing of my mistresses.
Also thinking about putting the cutting brakes in the middle of the dash

Messed some more with the brakes today and I am happy with them. Changed the master cylinder to something else since the stock one would not give me a hard pedal, seemed like it did not displace enough fluid for the 1 ton calipers. The brakes will lock the big tires with ease at 30 mph so that's good. When I do the gears and locker in the rear axle will take a look at the rear drum brakes, they do not seem to be doing a whole lot, might just stick wheel cylinders of a dually on there. Anybody know if there is any advantage to gutting the proportioning valve to get some more pressure to the rear?
